11-8 loss last night to the Brampton Excelsiors
Certainly some bright spots for the Redmen to build on moving forward – veteran leadership continues to be displayed by Suddons, Williams, Gamble, Ball and others. Call up Austin Shanks helped offensively with a hat-trick and Mike Teeter added two as well.
Also adding goals were Shawn Williams, Sheldon Burns and Kyle Whitlow.
Redmen had a 4-3 lead after the first, were down 6-5 after forty minutes and a five goal performance from the visitors in the final frame led to the 11-8 loss. Six minors to the Redmen including three for Too Many Men on the Floor and four minors to the visitors, Redmen scored one on the power play and gave up a short handed marker and one power play goal.
GM Wayne Colley continues to look for answers as he fights to put a competitive team on the floor every night.
Redmen have two tough tests on the road, Peterborough tonight and Six Nations on Tuesday before a return to IPSC next Wednesday to host the Lakers.
