Jordan Houtby was drafted in the fourth round ( 29th overall ) by the Minnesota Swarm. Minnesota held 8 draft picks in this years NLL entry draft (4 in the 1st round ). Houtby joins team mates Jeff Gilbert, Zach Higgins, Dan Ball & Keil Matisz already on the Swarm.
Jake Hayes was drafted in the fifth round ( 43rd overall) by the Calgary Roughnecks. Hayes being a native of Calgary, it was a natural move for the Roughneck to select him. Hayes played Sr.B lacrosse with Calgary in 2012 before coming to the Redmen this past season.
On a Side note Sorichetti, Diachenko & Houtby were all apart of the 2011 Minto Cup champions Whitby Warriors. Hayes has also appeared in 2 Minto cup Tournaments in 2010 and 2011, Both with the Okotoks Raiders
