BLC Pass the Test in Peterborough

After the Brooklin Lacrosse Club defeated the Brampton Excelsiors 13-3 on Wednesday night, head coach Joel Johnson said Thursday’s game in Peterborough would be a good measuring stick of where this club stands at the mid-point of the season. Johnson and the team got their answer after an impressive 9-7 win for Brooklin at the Memorial Centre on Landsdowne St.

Period scores were 4-1 for the visitors after one, the teams tied at 3-3 in the middle frame with Brooklin ahead 7-4 going into the third period. The home side did try to mount a comeback by winning the final frame 3-2 but Brooklin prevailed with the 9-7 win to improve to 5-1 on the season, dropping the Lakers to 1-2.

Zach Higgins with another stellar performance in net as he faced 56 shots from Peterborough, who outshot their guests by 23-13 in the first period alone.

Next up for Brooklin is a game Wednesday June 19, 2024 at home when they host the Cobourg Kodiaks 1-2 on the season, for the annual Scott McMichael Minor Lacrosse Night. All minor players are admitted free, we encourage you to wear your jerseys and stick around following the game for autographs.
