Brooklin Lacrosse Club Now Fueled by Leading Canadian Sport Supplement brand PVL

The Brooklin Lacrosse Club has managed to secure a major out-of-province partnership.

Brooklin’s general manager Brad MacArthur has announced the local Major Series Lacrosse (MSL) squad has formed a partnership with Pure Vita Labs (PVL), a company based in Port Coquitlam, B.C. that manufactures and distributes its own sports supplements products.

PVL also currently provides its products to three squads in the British Columbia-based Western Lacrosse Association, the Coquitlam Adanacs, Maple Ridge Burrards and New Westminster Salmonbellies.

PVL also has some MSL players – on the Peterborough Lakers and Oakville Rock - that it sponsors. But the partnership with the Brooklin Lacrosse Club is a first with an Ontario team.

“It helps us get that national exposure,” said Ryan Keller, who has been PVL’s director of marketing for the past 10 years. “It’s going to help to get our products out there in Ontario.”

Keller himself has Ontario roots. He was born in Toronto and grew up playing field lacrosse in Whitby. Several of his teammates went on to play for junior and senior box teams in the Durham Region. And he’s had a long-time friendship with MacArthur.

“They’re like my favourite team in the east,” Keller said of the Brooklin Lacrosse Club, which is scheduled to kick off its 2019 MSL regular season campaign on the road on June 2 versus the Cobourg Kodiaks.

MacArthur is thrilled with the new partnership with PVL, especially since his side is the first Ontario squad to join forces with the company.

“It’s a pretty big honour,” MacArthur said. “PVL is well known out west and generally in lacrosse. This partnership provides our players some best in class sports supplements. The Choice Certification  (all PVL supplements have been tested for banned substances by the world class sports anti-doping lab, LGC) is huge considering the level of athletes we have.”

Besides sponsoring various players in the National Lacrosse League, PVL is also a sponsor for the NLL’s Vancouver Warriors.

“Ryan is originally from Ontario, he’s got a keen sense of who we are as a club and what we do,” MacArthur added. “PVL can see the value and tradition of the Brooklin Lacrosse Club, and what we're trying to build as an organization, and we're ecstatic to have Ryan and PVL along with us.”
