Brooklin Handed a Loss at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena

By Mark Stehlin

The Brooklin Lacrosse Club traveled to the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena tonight with a record of 6-1 to take on the 5-0 Six Nations Chiefs. The team welcomed Reilly O'Connor back to the line-up for his first game in a Brooklin uniform in quite some time.

The Chiefs came storming out of the gate with a 5-1 first period lead. Brooklin found their legs in the middle frame and the teams were knotted at 3-3 in that period for an 8-4 Six Nations lead after forty minutes. The visitors added to the comeback effort to start the third period and rattled off three straight to come within one of their hosts with just 1:25 off the board. Unfortunately for BLC fans, the Chiefs responded in-kind, en route to a 13-7 win and improved to 6-0 and drop BLC to 6-2, both losses to the Chiefs.
