Redmen Declaw Kodiaks to Start Second Half of the Season

The Redmen and the Kodiaks met for the fourth and final time of the 2017 regular season last night in Cobourg with the Redmen sweeping the season series 4-0 and outscoring the Kodiaks 61-21 in the process. Last night's final of 18-5 came on the strength of a five goal run to start the first, sixth goals in succession to open the middle frame and four unanswered in the third period. 

The Redmen (5-4-1) were led by Reilly O'Connor (2,6) Austin Shanks (3,3), Mitch McMichael (3,3), Colton Watkinson was good for four goals on the night and two each for Kyle Whitlow and Dan Lintner, singles to Matt Hossack and Curtis Knight. The Redmen roster continues to evolve as the online score sheet showed Kyle Rubisch playing his first game of 2017. 

Brooklin will host Six Nations on Wednesday night, follow that up with a visit to Brampton on Thursday June 29, 2017 and on to the ILA on Tuesday July 4, 2017. The team then gets a break as they don't play again until Wednesday July 12, 2017 with the Chiefs back at IPSC. 

Peterborough at (8-0-) leads the league, followed by Six Nations at (7-1-0), Redmen in third and Oakville has the fourth and final playoff spot at (3-5-1).
