Redmen Loss in Six Nations

With a short bench last night (15 runners), the Brooklin Redmen lost 8-7 on the road in Six Nations. They played a solid game but came up just a little short at the end. The Chiefs were up 7-4 after Dhane Smith scored just a minute in to the final frame. Two goals in succession off the sticks of Ryan Keenan and Austin Shanks (with his third on the night) saw the Redmen right back in it with half a period to play.  With 0:54 on the clock,  the Chiefs Jordan Durston scrambled out of the corner after winning possession and deposited the ball behind Mike Poulin, making his season debut, for the 8-6 lead. The Redmen won the ensuing face-off and Shanks scored his fourth to make it interesting but the final buzzer sounded and the clock displayed an 8-7 win for the Chiefs. Chris Corbeil also made his 2017 season debut for the Redmen.

The Redmen (6-5-2) now get a week off before hosting the Chiefs (9-1-1) on Wednesday July 12, 2017 at 8 pm.
